History visitors

Year 1 history learning brought to life!

Year One were visited by Nicola and Valerie from the Devon Rural Archive to kickstart their learning in history. They were able to talk to the children about what Modbury was like in the past, including how the High Street has changed over time. The children were also very lucky to see a range of artefacts that demonstrated how homes, toys and shops have changed over time. We had a great time exploring the artefacts with Nicola and Valerie, and would like to thank them for their time. Should anyone like to see some of the artefacts, please feel free to come to the Year 1 classroom to have a look.

If anyone is interested in finding out more about the archives, which are held in Shilstone, please have a look at their website:https://devonruralarchive.com
