In the event of having to close for severe weather or for other unforeseen circumstances during the school day it is likely that school transport will be affected.

• We will send parents/carers a text messages advising them that we are closing the school.  If you receive a text saying we are closing the school please reply to this text stating whether your child will be collected by car or whether your child should travel on the bus.
• Please make your contact through Schoolcomms to avoid the school phone line becoming clogged.
• In the event of severe weather there will be a considerable delay before buses leave school because we cannot allow children to leave school until we are sure they will be met at the end of their journey.
• We will look after your child until we have received a text response from you.
• Information will be put on the school website. This will be updated during the day.

School Closure Out of School Hours
If closure is known in advance parents will be informed by email and via the school website.

Radio Devon/Heart Radio will be informed where appropriate (such as in severe weather). If severe weather is anticipated parents should listen to the radio before leaving for school in the morning. www.bbc.co.uk and www.heart.co.uk/plymouth will also show information.
